About YP Winfield

        




Our History
    Y.P. Winfield was established in 1988 by three close friends: Daisy Phandi, Mariaty Yananto, and Moniju Teh. These three friends sought to create an environment where not only the English language was taught but crucial character traits were instilled and nurtured in their students. They yearned to invest of young people and give back to their community and country.

   Our Core Values (Who we are—our identity)

   Our Purpose (Why we exist)
      The purpose of Y.P. Winfield is to glorify God in all that He has called us to do, namely in educating young people in the English language and nurturing them in the hope of God.
     
       Our Mission Statement (What we are supposed to be doing)
      We exist to teach English and build character.

   Our Vision Statement (What we want to be—a snapshot of our future)

1.We envision a thriving, God-centered community of friends who learn and grow together. This     community consists of Winfield students and teachers past and present.

2We envision students and teachers who hunger for knowledge and wisdom. They study diligently, apply their education, and aim to excel in everything they do. They are encouraged to pursue their ambitions and dreams and make an impact in the world.


   Our Objectives (How we will accomplish our mission)
1.      We aim to provide top quality English language curriculum and present it in a professional manner.

2.      We aim to influence our students for good through our classroom activities, extra-curricular activities, and media. This includes not only curriculum material but also outings, competitions, social outreach projects,  semesterly newsletters, website and social networks.

3.      We aim to provide extra-curricular activities for the application of English language skills and the building and nurturing of relationships.

4.      We aim to have a fellowship of students and teachers within the Winfield Community that grows together and serves together.


     WINFIELD'S FAMILY
